Our Service provides 24/7 Emergency and Non-Emergency ALS/BLS transportation for Grundy County. We provide mutual aid for surrounding counties and are available for a wide variety of special events in our community.
Grundy County Ambulance provides treatment and transport levels of both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) transports. We provide in house electronic billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance companies using a secure encrypted connection and patient billing via paper bills. Our service will not use any information submitted for anything other than medically necessary purposes per our Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Policy.
Grundy County Ambulance Service is a member of the Missouri Ambulance Association and licensed by the Missouri Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. We have been awarded a certificate by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Division of Health Standards for recognition of commitments above and beyond state regulations for pediatric equipment and protocols in Missouri.
Our ambulance service is a state-licensed training entity for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). CEU classes are also offered on-site for recertification and continuing education.
Grundy County Ambulance is located at the Emergency Services Safety Complex at 17th Street and Harris Ave. Staffing is comprised of 30 full-time and part- time employees. The full-time shift schedule consists of a 48/96 cycle. Part-time shift coverage is broken into 12 -hour portions to accommodate those working at multiple agencies. We currently have 3 fully equipped ambulances and 1 reserve ambulance.
Grundy County will perform approximately 1800 transports annually.
