Established January 29, 1841 from Livingston County, Grundy County, Missouri is named for Tennessee Senator and United States Attorney General, Felix Grundy.
Grundy County is located in the north/central region of the state of Missouri. The county seat of Grundy County is Trenton.
It is bordered on the north by Mercer County, on the east by Sullivan County, and on the southeast lies Linn County. It’s bordered on the south by Livingston County, to the southwest by Daviess County, and to the Northwest by Harrison County.
As of the 2021 census estimate Grundy County had a population of 9,720 persons.
